A building dating from the end of the 18th century located on a Natura 2000 site run by the Luberon Regional Natural Park, the castle is home to a colony of bats protected by the European \u201cHabitat Fauna Flora\u201d directive: the Lesser Horseshoe Bats.<\/p>\n\n<p>Thanks to funding from the town hall of Manosque, G\u00e9osel and G\u00e9om\u00e9thane, two facades of the castle were renovated and two sundials restored. G\u00e9osel was particularly involved in financing the renovation of the facades, thus contributing to the long-term preservation of this essential habitat.<\/p>\n\n<p>This work extends the efforts initiated in 2012-2013, thanks to which the colony of Lesser Horseshoe Bats at Ch\u00e2teau de P\u00e9licier saw its population increase from 40 to 130 individuals between the end of the work and 2021.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, G\u00e9osel participated in the inauguration of the renovation work on the Ch\u00e2teau de P\u00e9licier in Manosque, in the presence of Benoit Loussier, director of ONF 04.
